Argonauta

Located in Europe’s westernmost village, the Argonauta in Faja Grande is surrounded by a paradise of natural beauty and tranquil isolation.

This delightful B&B has a bohemian and homely feel, reflecting the welcoming personality of owner Stefano. There are five en-suite double rooms, including two suites in the eaves of the house – the décor is very traditional, with floral frescos dating back to the building’s original construction in the 1930s; much of the woodwork came from a vessel which was shipwrecked off Flores’ western reefs during that same period.

The location is wonderful: just a short walk from harbour and Flores’ best fish restaurants where you can enjoy the magnificent Atlantic sunsets each evening. It’s also an ideal base from which to explore the island’s famous west coast walking trails.
