Azoris Faial Garden Hotel

The Azoris Faial Garden is one of our most popular Azorean hotels, overlooking the bustling harbour town of Horta.  

This elegant building dates back to the late 1800s, when trans-Atlantic telegraph cables began connecting Europe with the USA. The cable routes passed directly through Faial and the cable companies built their HQs in Horta – grand statements of wealth, which were abandoned in the late 1900s and in danger of falling into ruin. Thankfully, these beautiful buildings are now being renovated and repurposed, and the Azoris Faial Garden is one of the leading examples.

Elevated above the centre of town, the rooms have a lovely view across the channel to Pico, and it’s a five-minute walk to the marina and main seafront Avenida. The hotel also has one of the largest outdoor pools on the island, a second indoor pool, air conditioning throughout it’s one hundred rooms, a restaurant and bar.
