Overview

One of our favourite seaside hotels in the Azores is the Caloura Hotel Resort.

Sitting high on a clifftop overlooking the bay at Baixa da Areia, the Caloura Hotel Resort and the village of Caloura itself have been two of our most popular destinations for over twenty years. Its central location on the south coast is ideal for exploring the island by car, with both the geothermal swimming pools in Furnas and the capital Ponta Delgada just a twenty-minute drive away. All eighty en-suite rooms have seaview balconies overlooking the large outdoor pool or the clifftop gardens, and there’s a well-equipped gym, tennis court, restaurant and terrace bar.
