Casa do Antonio

Casa do Antonio is our go-to B&B on the peaceful island of Sao Jorge.

Adjacent to the harbour in Sao Jorge’s main town of Velas, Casa do Antonio is the perfect base for walking the island’s famous Faja hiking trails.

Owner and artist Antonio has created a warm and welcoming guesthouse, with many of the island’s best restaurants right on your doorstep. You’ll also see Antonio’s ceramic artwork dotted around the island, and he’s always happy to show you around his on-site pottery and workshop.

There are seven twin en-suite rooms and one double en-suite room: the Tower room (our favourite), with it’s private seaview balcony looking across the channel to the neighbouring island of Pico.
