On entering Os Moinhos you feel as if you’ve entered a secret Azorean garden. There’s a real untamed charm to the grounds and the attractive stone mini-villas are typically Azorean in their decor, with direct access to the gardens and breathtaking views across the channel to the neighbouring island of Pico

The hotel’s own Fornos de Lava restaurant is one of the best on the island, with many of their seasonal ingredients grown in and around the gardens.
