Hotel Praia Marina

The ocean-front Hotel Praia Marina is a four-star aparthotel in the friendly Terceiran harbour town of Praia da Vitoria.

Rooms are modern, light and spacious – our favourites are the studios and suites, with their seaview balconies overlooking Praia’s bustling marina and the Zona balnear da Praia Grande. The apartments have well-equipped kitchens should you wish to self-cater, and a delicious buffet breakfast is served in the downstairs dining area.

Praia da Vitoria itself has a charming town centre, with an excellent selection of seafood restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The town’s naturally sheltered bay has always been a popular and safe swimming spot, particularly with families on the island. There are also two dark-golden sandy beaches – the smaller Prainha (popular with locals for it’s family-friendly bar and changing facilities), and the larger Praia Grande, which sweeps away from the hotel for over half a kilometre: arguably one of the best beaches in the Azores.
