Octant Furnas

The Octant Furnas is the Azores’ most-popular spa hotel.

The eastern town of Furnas is famous for its geothermal pools and therapeutic springs – the perfect location to relax and unwind. The Octant Furnas has fifty-five air-conditioned rooms in total, indoor and outdoor thermal swimming pools, and a celebrated Shirodhara and Hydro Massage Wellness Centre and Thermal Spa. The centre’s décor is the work of celebrated Portuguese designer Nini Andrade Silva, whose nature-inspired whimsical touches echo Furnas’ natural beauty.

The hotel’s A Terra Fornaria restaurant is equally celebrated. Since opening in 2015, A Terra has built up quite a reputation across the island. Together with their sister hotel in the capital Ponta Delgada, they’re big promoters of seasonal Azorean cuisine, producing imaginative and deceptively simple dishes which allow their organic, locally-sourced ingredients to shine.
