Quinta de Santana

Quinta de Santana was one of the first examples of rural tourism on the island.

It’s over twenty years since owner Emanuela was inspired to convert the extensive gardens surrounding her family farmhouse into one of the Azores first self-catering retreats. Santana has twenty-one apartments in total (sixteen are one bedroom and five are two bedroom), each with an open-plan living room/kitchen, bathroom and optional twin/double bedrooms.

There are two styles of apartment: the originals where the décor is more traditional, and the new apartments which have more modern interiors. The extensive gardens include a small woodland and fruit orchard, and an outdoor swimming pool, a breakfast room and restaurant, a games room and a children’s play area.
