Overview
Immerse yourself in whale watching culture at Whale’come ao Pico.
Located in the south coast harbour town of Lajes do Pico, Whale’come ao Pico is the original home of Azorean whale watching – where French conservationist Serge Viallelle first demonstrated that whale tourism offered a more sustainable future than whale hunting. Sadly Serge is no longer with us, but his legacy lives on across all the islands of the Azores.
The hotel has eleven en-suite rooms, each decorated in clean, minimal style, and the famously-friendly Bistrot Whale’come is on the ground floor – where guests gather in the evenings to share stories of their whale watching adventures.
