Our overriding principle is care – it’s a simple thing, but we’ll always provide you with the service we’d expect to receive ourselves if we were booking a holiday. If COVID-19 prevents you from travelling and your travel insurer won’t help, we will. We’ll reschedule your trip to any point in the following twelve months free of charge. If the Foreign Office advise against travelling to the Azores, we can also reschedule your trip or you might prefer to opt for a refund.
We’ll recommend the accommodation that’s right for you – whether that’s a secluded rural casa, a sea view room overlooking the Atlantic ocean, or classic art deco hotel with it’s very own hot springs. Visiting our destinations is a crucial part of what we do – it’s easy to say you’re an expert, but to offer the best tailor made holidays we feel it’s important to visit all of the hotels, casas and quintas you’ll see here on our website.
We’re here to guide you through the COVID-19 procedures in place at airports, ferry terminals and other travel hubs, and we’ll make sure you have all the correct documentation to ensure your journey runs smoothly. We’ll also keep you up-to-date on any local social-distancing measures which might differ from those at home, and we can help with the practicalities of shopping for groceries and advance restaurant reservations. We also have a twenty-four hour helpline and a member of our UK team is always available to help resolve any problems that might crop up.
We’ve been visiting the Azores for over twenty years – we go whale watching from Sao Miguel and Faial ourselves, we climb Mount Pico with our resident guides and we love to go canyoning when we visit Flores. Our first-hand experience means we can talk you through the logistics of how these excursions really work, and advise on whether they’re suitable to include in your holiday.
We’ve made countless friends across the Azores over the past twenty years. They take us to their favourite restaurants, to the places only a local would know, serving amazing Azorean cuisine made with seasonal local ingredients – and we can share our favourites with you through our Where to eat guides.
Our partners and suppliers have always taken standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously. Upgraded housekeeping and hygiene measures are in place across all of our hotels and self-catering cottages, and all our staff have completed enhanced COVID-19 awareness training.
And we’ve recently been awarded a Feefo platinum trusted service award. Feefo’s an independent review site where our customers can leave feedback on their experiences travelling with us.
